If you run a small business in Naples and want to start video marketing on social media, the hardest part is usually deciding what to film first. You do not need a big production or a long list of ideas. Start with five simple clips that answer the questions your customers already have, then post them where those customers are looking.
Start with where people will watch
Video marketing is not one video. It is a handful of short clips that each do one job, and each clip lives somewhere specific: your Instagram and Facebook feeds, your Google Business Profile, or your website. Deciding where a clip will live before you film it changes how it is framed and how long it runs.
Most local customers watch social media on a phone, so short vertical video is the format that fits. That is why we shoot vertical video for social media on an iPhone 17 Pro. The framing is right from the start, and nothing has to be cropped later.
Clip 1: Introduce the people behind the business
People hire people. A short clip of you or your team saying who you are, what you do, and who you do it for does more to build trust than a paragraph of text. It does not need a script. Talk the way you would to a new customer standing in front of you, and keep it short.
This is the clip that goes at the top of your website and gets pinned to your social profiles, so it is worth filming first.
Clip 2: Show the work or the space
Walk the viewer through what a customer actually sees: the dining room, the showroom, the job in progress, the finished result. A walkthrough answers the silent question every new customer has, which is what it will be like to deal with you.
Film it during a normal day, and tell us your slow hours so we can work around your customers. Real footage of your real space will always feel more honest than a stock image.
Clip 3: Let a customer say it
A customer testimonial carries weight that nothing you say about yourself can match. Pick someone who is happy to talk, ask two or three simple questions, and let them answer in their own words. Short and natural beats polished and stiff.
Always get the customer’s permission before you post their clip. Testimonials are one of the formats we film regularly, and they work well on a website and in a Google Business post.
Clip 4: Answer the question you hear every week
Every business has a question it answers over and over: how long does it take, what does it cost, do you serve my neighborhood. Film yourself answering one of them in plain language. These clips are useful to people who are comparing options, and they save you time because the next customer may already have seen the answer.
Clip 5: Show how it is made
A look at how the work gets done, the process behind the result, gives people a reason to trust the price. It does not have to reveal anything private. A few seconds of skilled hands at work is often enough.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Filming sideways. Horizontal video leaves black bars on a phone and wastes the screen.
- Starting slowly. The first few seconds decide whether someone keeps watching, so open with the point, not with a greeting.
- Filming with no plan for where the clip will be posted.
- Making one long video instead of several short ones. One shoot can be cut into many posts, which keeps your feeds active between visits.
- Waiting for perfect. A clear, honest clip posted this week is worth more than a polished one posted in three months.
Where each clip goes
- Reels on Instagram and Facebook: the introduction, the walkthrough, and the process clip.
- Your Google Business Profile: the introduction and the walkthrough, so people see your business when they search for you.
- Your website: the introduction near the top, and the testimonial on the page where people decide.
- Your social profiles: pin the introduction clip so it is the first thing a new visitor sees.
How to get these filmed
Each of our packages is built around a scheduled capture session on site, so the real question is how many of these clips you want from each visit.
- A Single Visit is one 2 hour session with photography plus 2 to 3 edited short form clips, delivered within 7 business days. That covers the first two or three clips on this list, and it is the easiest way to start.
- A Content Day is one 4 hour session with photography plus 5 to 6 edited clips, delivered within 10 business days. That is enough to cover this whole list in one visit.
- The Monthly Content Retainer is one 2 hour visit a month with 4 edited clips, so you work through the list over a couple of months and keep fresh content coming after that.
You can book another session whenever you are ready for the next batch. Travel is included in Naples and Bonita Springs, and you own every finished clip. If you would rather have the posting handled as well, see our social media management service.
